Highlights from the first-ever YAFFL Christmas Fun Bowl!
This past Saturday, we hosted our very first event of this kind, and we hope to make it an annual end-of-year tradition. Kids from across Johannesburg participated, starting with drills and moving on to a series of friendly matches.
It was an incredible day filled with fun and excitement, and we’re looking forward to our second YAFFL season, kicking off early next year!

FINAL SEASON 1 GAME DAY
The fourth and final game day of the inaugural YAFFL season unfolded today at Willow Crescent Secondary School in Eldorado Park, and it was nothing short of spectacular! Heading into the day, the Benoni Harlequins were leading the league, with the Lions as their only challengers for the title. It all came down to the last game: Harlequins vs. Lions, with the championship on the line. In a thrilling showdown, the Lions emerged victorious, making history as the first YAFFL champions!
Final standings: Lions: 10-2, Harlequins: 9-3, Eagles: 4-8, Commandos: 1-11
Congratulations to all teams for their exceptional performances this season.
We want to thank every player, coach, official, and supporter who contributed to making this inaugural season a massive success. Your dedication and passion have set the foundation for a bright future. We can’t wait to see what the next season has in store!
